Yes. Open Papertrade is open source under AGPL-3.0. No subscription, no paywall, no ads. The only thing you might pay for is an optional AI provider if you want to use the smart-answer features, and even that's free if you use local models.
The only account you need is on your own machine. Everything runs locally, so you're not signing up on our servers because there are no servers. Optionally, you can add an AI API key if you want the coach and filings features to work.
It reads your trade history and gives you feedback on patterns it sees, like trading too much after a win, hanging onto losing positions, or being over-concentrated in one sector. It also has an interactive chat where you can ask it about your portfolio directly.
Paste any SEC filing URL, wait about a minute for it to be processed, and then you can ask questions about it in plain English. Every answer has clickable citations that link back to the exact passage in the original filing on sec.gov.

Yes. The backtesting engine lets you build strategies from common technical indicators and rules, test them against historical data, and iterate. Save your strategies, share them with friends, or run them against different date ranges.
Live and historical market data comes from Finnhub (with Yahoo Finance as a fallback). SEC filings come straight from EDGAR. No paid data feeds required for anything.
